Research Associate: Research Department

Research Associates report to the Senior Vice President of Research and provide analytical and research support to consultants. Primary responsibilities are analysis and interpretation of consumer behavior, causal and sales data - sales performance, industry benchmarking, purchase conditions, etc. - for use in strategic sales and marketing projects for major clients. The position offers the opportunity for broad exposure to the consumer packaged goods industry, with particular emphasis on evaluation of sales and marketing programs and strategies.

Qualifications
Candidates for the Research Associate position should have a strong interest in business and marketing. Since the company relies upon both formal and informal training and development programs to bring new associates up to speed quickly, work experience in marketing and sales is not required. Successful candidates must possess strong quantitative skills and analytical ability, be ambitious and self-confident, and have the desire and ability to work independently. The ability to quickly and easily manipulate data in spreadsheet applications is a plus.
